순서
M phase은 유사분열과 세포질분열을 거쳐 세포가 증식하는 실질적인 단계이고, S phase에서는 DNA가 복제되고 세포 수는 변하지 않는다.
세포가 증식하기 위해서 G1 phase를 거쳐 DNA 복제(S phase), 그리고 G2 phase를 거쳐 세포분열(M phase)을 하는 일련의 단계를 거치는데, 이를 세포주기(Cell Cycle)라 한다 (Figure 1, Table 1).
